BUILDING & GROUNDS MINISTRY
This ministry is charged with the oversight and maintenance of the Church’s property. They plan and oversee the acquisition and maintenance of all major capital and landed property of the Church, and also lead in rentals.
The need: Members who are resourceful in acquisition, furnishing, maintenance, contracting and inventory to take care of God’s property.
CHILDREN MINISTRY
A ministry of Christian Education Ministry, it has responsibility over the Children Sunday School through teaching, counselling and prayer.
The need: Mature members who love children and want to ensure that our children receive the best care at church as they are taught and led in the way of righteousness.
COMMUNICATION MINISTRY
This is the ministry that is responsible for maintaining all communication functions of the Church from publication, audio-visual and maintenance of the Church’s website
The need: Communication smarts, IT & Website management; publication etc
DEACONS MINISTRY
This is the ministry of men appointed to assist the Pastor in the administration of the ordinances of the Church and shepherding of members through periodic visits and counselling in times of difficulties and grief.
The need: Men of integrity and maturity in the Lord Ref: Tim. 3:8-13
EVANGELISM MINISTRY
In response to the Great Commission of the Lord, this committee leads the Church in outreach and evangelism to the Senegalese community and beyond. They also engage in outreach within the Church
The need:A heart for the lost & to see the Kingdom of God expand
FINANCE MINISTRY
The primary responsibility of this Ministry is to oversee the management of the finances of the Church. It leads in drawing annual budgets; maintaining keen oversight of the budget management by administration, receiving and vetting quarterly reports from the Church Administration, and presenting periodic financial reports to the Church in Council
The need:Background in accounting, financial control and management.
HOSPITALITY MINISTRY
This Ministry is charged with the responsibility of welcoming visitors and first time worshippers and making them feel at home and welcome to join the IBC family.
The need:A hospitable heart, pleasant disposition, a smiling face, and ability to guide.
MEN’S MINISTRY
Men’s Ministry: The Micah Group
This group brings together all the professional men in the Church. They meet in three zones, once a month, to share fellowship in God’s word and prayers
The need:Willingness to share insights in the of word of God, and experiences and challenges in the busy work environment.
MUSIC MINISTRY
This ministry leads the Church in music and praise to the Lord in all our meetings. It includes the choir and Praise & Worship Teams
The need:Godliness, good voice, politeness, and commitment.
PERSONNEL
This is the ministry responsible for human resource development of the Church. They draw personnel policy for the Church and leads in hiring employees in accordance with Senegalese Labour Code.
The need:Resource persons with personnel or management background
TALIBE MINISTRY
A unit of Evangelism and Outreach Ministry, they minister to the Talibes boys through innovative programs to better their conditions and to ultimately lead them to Christ.
The need:Brokenness over the terrible conditions of those abused and marginalized children in the streets of Dakar
USHER’S MINISTRY
They keep the doors of the Church, welcome and seat, in an orderly manner, all worshippers in all our services, and lift the offerings in all services
The need:Courtesy, a smiling face, and a servant heart.
WELFARE MINISTRY
As the name implies, this Ministry oversees the welfare of members of the Church through periodic visits, encouragement to bereaved families, rejoicing with families with new born babies, visiting the sick, and assessing the needs of members and helping them with tokens of love in cash and kind.
The need:The gift of hospitality, mercy, and a servant heart.
WOMEN’S MINISTRY
There are two groups within the women’s ministry: The Virtuous Women (Professional women) and The Jewels (Housewives). The idea is to gather people around common interests and struggles as they share God’s word in a relaxed and trusting environment
The need:Professional women who enthusiastically seek to dig deeper into the of word of God, and to share their experiences and challenges in the contemporary work environment, and to support of each other for mutual edification
YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY
Young Adult Ministry (YAM)
The newest of our ministries, it aims at bringing all the young adults from 25-39 years, in common fellowship and Bible studies. A lot of counselling is needed in this ministry
The need:: Young men and women with burning desire to grow in the word of God and to mature in their godly roles as singles, young couples and parents.
YOUTH MINISTRY
This is the Teenage fellowship of the Church. They meet every Sunday at 5pm.
The need:: Every teenager
