And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” (Luke 22:14-20 NIV)
Photos are wonderful. In the past, especially during our grandparents’ time, they were cherished because they were rare. Today, we capture countless moments—riding in a taxi, what we eat for lunch, or something amusing on the road.
Photos help us relive moments, remember people, and feel the emotions of those times. They allow us to experience the joy of winning a championship again or the warmth of special moment shared with others.
The Lord’s Supper serves like a spiritual photo, helping us remember. Jesus said, “Do this in remembrance of me.” It reminds us of His broken body and shed blood given on our behalf. In remembering, we examine on our present lives and look forward with hope to Christ’s return.
