“But you, dear friends, build yourself up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you eternal life.” (Jude 20-21 NIV).
In a world increasingly marked by spiritual compromise and moral confusion, the call to grow in grace is not merely a suggestion; it is a divine imperative. Jude 20-25 offers encouragement for believers seeking to remain steadfast, spiritually ready, and anchored in the love and mercy of God.
Growth in grace begins with intentional spiritual construction. This is not passive; it requires effort, discipline, and devotion. The “most holy faith” refers to the foundational truths of the gospel- Christ’s death, resurrection, and Lordship. To grow in grace is to deepen our understanding of these truths and allow them to shape our character, decisions, and relationships. This can be achieved by engaging regularly in Scripture study, fellowship, sound teaching, and a life of obedience.
“Growing in Grace” is a journey of building, abiding, waiting, ministering, and worshipping. Jude 20-21 calls us to live with spiritual intentionality, anchored in truth, empowered by the Spirit and live with eternity in view. In a generation prone to drift, may we be those who grow deeper, stand firmer, and shine brighter- until He comes. Let your faith be reinforced by truth, and not what is trending.
