Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another- and all the more as you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:25).
While attending church is not a requirement for salvation, there are compelling reasons why being part of a church community is beneficial. Being a part of a church community is essential for the spiritual growth and survival of anyone who has given their life to Jesus. Church provides opportunities for learning, worship, and spiritual nourishment. It offers an opportunity for Christian fellowship where one receives encouragement and support and allows for interpersonal relationships.
Furthermore, being part of a church community helps one to be accountable as it encourages righteous living and participating in essential ordinances for the renewal of relationship with Christ and fellow believers. In addition, the church offers chances to serve others in Christ’s name. It’s a place to use one’s gifts and talents for God’s kingdom. Above all, finding a church where Christ is preached and where people seek to live for Him can enrich your faith journey.
